Maddie Kulicka - Top Newcomers Spring 2011

Hey friends!
How are you doing tonight? I am so tired!
But I'm definitely getting excited for New York!
Tonight's post is another from the series I did for
Models.com's Top Newcomers for Spring 2011.
The models name is Maddi Kulicka.
She was one of my favorite girls from the series.
She has freckles on her nose, so that's always good : )
Haha I really like how this painting turned out and I hope you do too.

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
Really excited for Thanksgiving tomorrow.
Also my friend Ryan just introduced me to Hayao Miyazaki films,
so been watching those... so amazing!

So Today's painting is my favorite for my Top Newcomers Spring 2011.
It's of the lovely miss Bambi Northwood-Blyth.
I first heard of Bambi from my friend Cat's (knightcat) blog posts.
So needless to say i was really excited about painting her.
I don't know, I feel like there is something about the this painting that has a sort of Classic elegance to it.
It's actually my current computer back drop right now haha.

Well My friends I finished this painting!
I was getting scared i wouldn't finish this in time to post it today.
The painting today is of New Zealand model Grace Hollows.
I have to say she was in two shows that Iwas at and she was one of my favorites.
She had a great genuine smile so i thought i would Paint her as my first from the shows I attended.
The Painting is of a picture i took of her at Rachel Antonoff Spring 2011 collection.
I really like how the painting turned out.

Hi, Friends!
How was your weekend?
Mine was great!
My college roommate got married, and it was an amazing wedding.
Well, I know I was a little patchy on the posting last week,
and I wanted to let you know I'm not slacking.
I've been painting 24/7.
I have some new paintings coming your way ;)
Oh, so... it took me all day...
but I revamped the "Image Diary" today and Posted all the Images from Rachel Antonoff Spring 2011!

Sleeping Tanya

Hey Hey Hey!
How are yawl doing?
I'm back from Texas!
Wow, it was incredible, so quick but so much fun!
Stacy & Darren's Wedding was amazing!
My brother and i took a red-eye Flight to Texas,
and i ended up being awake for 43 hours out of 48,
which was a new record for me! hah
Needless to say, I'm still recovering from it... haahah

The Painting today is of the always bright eyed and beautiful Tanya Dziahileva of Elite Model Management.
I really have been dying to experiment with some combinations of mixed media...
and i really like how this painting turned out.

Chris Benz Models & Candy Colors

Well my friends!
How are you doing this week?
Well this weekend, i bought a bunch of new art supplies i've never tried before,
so this was my first little experiment with them.
I have hundreds of pictures that i took at the Chris Benz Collection last Fashion Week.
So i thought, why not paint another one of those pictures :)
The Profile is of the Elite's lovely Masha Kirsanova,
but I'm not sure who the girl in the black hood is.
I really like how the it turned out :)

Well my friends,
how did your day go for you?
I had a good day.
Spent the morning writing music,
and then i worked on researching, printing, gluing, and making a new inspiration book/ idea book.
It's going really well! Finished about thirty pages in the book.
The Painting today is of a wonderful model named Masha Kirsanova.
She has a wonderful look.
I had the honor of getting to go backstage at Chris Benz's show,
Which allowed me to take tons of pictures, which i've posted a few ;)
But the reason it was so great to go backstage,
is i finally got to make my own drawing references! Woot woot!!! Finally huh?!
So this is my second painting of my pictures!
