I would call it the alphabet of love :) It's a little gift I made for my boyfriend, he's so patient with me...And don't tell me the Q is missing (that was his first remark after opening the gift!) - there is no Q in polish! And I'm from Poland. You say the writing is in Italian? Oh come on - be a little bit romantic and close your eyes on some little (very little! who care about Q anyway!) mistakes.  

Io lo chiamerei l'alfabeto dell'amore :) E' un piccolo regalo che ho fatto per il mio ragazzo, lui è così paziente con me ... E non mi dire che manca la Q (questa era la sua prima osservazione dopo l'apertura del regalo!) - non esiste una Q in polacco! E io sono dalla Polonia. Dite che la scritta è in Italiano? Oh, andiamo - siate un po' romantice e chiudete gli occhi su alcuni piccoli errori (molto piccoli - chi se ne frega della Q ?!).

Fighting the Mondays - Rachel Antonoff Fall 2011

Whenever you get a bad case of "The Mondays" (which i've got)
I found Rachel Antonoff collections usually break the Evil Monday spell.
So i thought i would post this picture i took of the lovely Caroline West of Elite Models and her date.
This is two seasons in a row that Caroline has been one of my favorites in Rachel's presentation.
She was "Wendy" in the Rachel Antonoff Spring 2011 Collection.
Yay, i love the whole Prom Queen & King Vibe i got from them.

Welcome To the Land of Love

Last night was incredible!
The Movie was sooooo soooooo goood!

Awe, so happy it's Inspiration Friday!
The theme is "The Land of Love"
What is the Land of Love, you ask?
Well, so basically, i have this random theory that whenever i fall in love, i will disappear from "This World"
and be magically teleported to the world people call "The Land of Love". (see images below)
This is the land where there is always a fog or a smokey haze.
A land filled with Mystery & Adventure.
So with that said, i hope you like the images.

Dreaming up a Series

Hello hello my friends,
how is your day going?
My day's been super laid back, been hanging with my family,
we watched Pinocchio (which is the most genius movie made!!!!!),
and spent the day chatting & discovering new inspiration images with my friend Stacy.
(She's an amazing singer song writer click here to check out her band).
We found some great images, but when i came across this one image from Federica Simoni Flickr Page
i just knew it would translate into a great drawing,
plus i've been wanting to start a new drawing series called "Love"
so this is my second painting in the series.
i hope you like it! :)

Well, i just finished this painting so i thought i would post it tonight.
So yea! Two posts for ya today.
Today, my friend Stacy was helping me search the internet to find some new models for drawing. haa
It was a lot of fun with a lot of new discoveries,
but as we were searching, i stumbled on to this picture.
i don't know what it is from or who it's of, but i loved it.
i knew i needed to draw it.
i mean, it was a must.
I don't know, it just had something that i knew/ wanted to capture.
i really hope you like it.
Just finished it and it's instantly one of my favorites now. :)

In My Dreams

Hello friends!
Well, i drew you all this picture tonight!
i hope you like it.
The clothes are a little something i designed.
i'm hoping to make a few one-off collection with my friend Alice.
The girl in the picture doesn't have a name,
she just shows up in my dreams every few years, just for a few dreams, and disappears.
I really like how the drawing turned out...
I'm hoping she surfaces in tonight's dream.
i will let you know if it happens!

The Boy and The Girl

Hello friends!
Thanks for the all the great Audrey Hepburn movie suggestions!
I think i'm going to sit down and watch every one of them. :)
i'm serious, i was so inspired after My Fair Lady
all i wanted to do was paint and think and then paint some more.

Today was great; finished up a few mini projects,
also got a valentine order today, so was getting a Valentine ready to ship out,
which was quiet fun. Oh, also, i did this painting tonight. i hope you like it.
i don't know, there is something about it that makes me smile.

Oh!! Lastly, i finally mixed the song i wrote with my good friend Christie Dupree!
I wrote the music and she wrote the lyrics and sang it.
i've been writing a fairytale story in my head for years,
and the characters are based on people in my own life.
Christie's character's name is Camille Queen of the Trees,
so that's what the song is about.

A Short Film About Love.

SO a few weeks ago i saw a movie by my favorite director Krzysztof Kieślowski,
it was Called " A short Film About Love" and i have to say, it's one of the most brilliant and interesting movies i've seen in i can't remember how long.
It's definitely unlike any Love story you have every seen... haha
Though it was really different, for some reason, i could really relate to it.
Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing? haha
Not sure why i'm posting about it.
But i was sitting and drawing and listening to music today,
and a sort of cheesy sappy love song came on, and it made me start thinking about how there are stereo typical imagery when the word "Love" is mentioned generally.
For example, i think of a big heart floating in the air, haha
but when each of us thinks of love in terms that apply to us, we picture a whole other set of images, and these aren't generic at all, they're specific to us and our dreams and experiences... i don't know, i was thinking about that yesterday and cracking up because when i thought about it, the most random sequence of images popped in my head.

So i was thinking as a little homework assignment to you all,
since I'm definitely a person that likes telling stories through images,
i thought it would be interesting to have yawl post two images that remind you of love. Not generic love, but your personal version of it...

i don't know, you don't have to if you don't want to.. wow this is a quiet the rambling post... i should probably go to bed now. hahaha

oh p.s. the picture is a 5ft painting i did 3-4 years ago.

Hahah So first off, pardon my French. i know the French on this picture is grammatically off...
Also, i know today isn't Valentine's Day,
but i thought i would post it anyways.
i found this the other day.
It's kinda a goofy Valentine i made years ago for my friend.
hahha It makes me laugh looking at it.
It's suppose to say
"Will you be my Valentine: yes or no"
hahahahha

The Edition size for all the prints 36" x 44" is 50 prints
so to answer the question, the prints are up as long as they sell,
which might be short or might be long.. haha.
