Well my friends, i need to make this post quick because I'm off to see Joseph Arthur perform again tonight! Like I said last week, Joseph Arthur's live performance is one of the most inspiring things I've seen. And when people inspire me, I always want to paint them. So ever since last week i've been wanting to paint him, and finally last Friday i started working on the painting as part of my Musician Portrait Series. Just finished it today! Well the Linda Vojtova Exhibit is open today! I'm so bummed I couldn't make it out for the opening. Dave and I fly out this Friday night for NYFW. Wish it was today! Oh well. Christopher Michael from One Management was kind enough ask me to be apart of this project, and I'm really glad he did. I've been wanting to show you the Painting for a few months now. I really like how it turned out. It kinda has a different vibe to it then a lot of my other paintings. What do you think? I hope you like it!

The models name is Maddi Kulicka. She was one of my favorite girls from the series. She has freckles on her nose, so that's always good : ) Haha I really like how this painting turned out and I hope you do too.

Hello Hello! How was your weekend? I saw a brilliant movie called the "The King's Speech". If you haven't seen it, go see it. It's such a moving movie. Loved it!
So I'm happy to present you with a new Speed Painting Video. As your remember, a month ago i started watching Hayao Miyazaki and i saw his movie "My Neighbor Totoro". The main girls in the English version of the movie were played by, at the time very young little sisters Elle & Dakota Fanning. I was blown way how amazing they were in that movie. And then recently, i stumbled across a beautiful editorial of Elle Fanning (not sure what magazine it was from). She has a really great look. She has a little bit of Gemma/Sophie Ward look going on, plus she was wearing a dress from Valentino's spring 2011 collection, and I thought she would be perfect in my pop culture series, so the other day i did this painting and made this video for yawl. I had to do some finishing touches on the painting, but will post it tomorrow! I hope you like the video!
Hey Friends! So the Painting today is from the Top Newcomers Spring 2011 Series i did for Models.com. The Painting is Britt Maren. Britt has a really interesting look, it's very versatile. Basically before i did any of the paintings, i looked through about 100 pictures of each of the girls so i could get a sense of their personality. I found that usually helps me alot. But Britt really has a wide range of looks. When i saw this picture, i instantly wanted to paint it. There was just something in the pose & expression that i really liked. :)
I'm currently working on improving my drawing and painting skills right now.... But hopefully i should have some new different stuff for you soon ;)
Hey Friends! Well they are finally up! I painted the The Top NewComers S/S 11 for Models.com! This has been one of the reasons i've been working so much! I really Like how they turned out. What do you think? I will be Posting bigger versions of each of the paintings over the next two weeks. It was fun painting these girls cause i pretty much hadn't seen most of them before. Hey there my friends! How was your Halloween? Did Yawl see Carolina?! She was Margot Tenenbaum for Halloween, and it was mind blowing amazing! You can see pictures here. The painting today is one i did for Sundance Channel'sFull Frontal Fashion of Chris Benz Collection. It was one of my Favorite shows i went to this season. Chris Benz is really a nice person and his collections are always so much fun. This season, the shoes were amazing too! I still need to post all the pictures i took at it. Well My friends I finished this painting! I was getting scared i wouldn't finish this in time to post it today. The painting today is of New Zealand model Grace Hollows. I have to say she was in two shows that Iwas at and she was one of my favorites. She had a great genuine smile so i thought i would Paint her as my first from the shows I attended. Hey Friends! I'm back! Sorry about the couple weeks absence from blogging. I got back from Fashion Week and it was non-stop picture sorting, and then my really good friend Tim Brooks A.K.A Tim Frost (the guy who wrote the song for the Forever 21 Alice Painting Video) flew in from Texas. We hung out all week and wrote songs, trying to finish up an album. We are almost there.... ;)
And i have so so so so many pictures and videos from my trip that i can't wait to show you! It is coming soon, don't worry! The Painting today is based off of a sketch i did in a Starbucks during FW of the Fashion Week Dailycover. I like how the overall mood of the painting turned out. It has this warm contemplative feel to it... Well, i really hope you like it! and i can't wait to get all the paintings, photos, and videos up! Hope you're having a great day!
Hey Hey Hey! How are yawl doing? I'm back from Texas! Wow, it was incredible, so quick but so much fun! Stacy & Darren's Wedding was amazing! My brother and i took a red-eye Flight to Texas, and i ended up being awake for 43 hours out of 48, which was a new record for me! hah Needless to say, I'm still recovering from it... haahah
The Painting today is of the always bright eyed and beautiful Tanya Dziahileva of EliteModel Management. I really have been dying to experiment with some combinations of mixed media... and i really like how this painting turned out. Let me know what you think. I really hope you like it! :)
Hey hey hey! Happy thursday! How was your day? I'm so exhausted, but oh well, such is life. :) The Painting today is of a character named Josette from a Story I'm writing. I've been watching a lot of 1930s movies lately so i think that era's style influenced this picture. ... Those old movies were pure magic!
Oh, also I started on part of the final version of the animation. Yikes this might take a while... I'm shooting for the animation to be 40 seconds, which is going to be insanely time consuming, but i hope yawl will like the the final version :) Well, hope you all are having a great day.

I wanted to get better at live sketching, so I decided to start practicing it on the weekends, so my brother was nice enough to sit still for this sketch/painting i did of him.
